Ferrari Wins Big
At The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships. On Monday 4th November in London, Ferrari was crowned “Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year 2019” at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, the most important international competition dedicated exclusively to bubbles. The result was announced a few months ago thanks to the incredible haul of gold medals - as many as 15 - obtained by their Trentodoc, but that wasn’t enough!
Ferrari Perlé Rosé Riserva 2013 was named World Champion in the Rosé category, and the Ferrari Perlé Nero Riserva 2010 in the Blanc de Noirs category, celebrating the culmination of more than forty years’ work with Pinot Nero from mountainside vineyards. Their Chef de Cave and Technical Director Ruben Larentis received the Lifetime Achievement Award, honouring more than thirty years’ passionate work for Ferrari Trento.
The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships owes its importance and its prestige to the authority of its founder, Tom Stevenson. Stevenson is also the author of the Christie's World Encyclopedia of Champagne and Sparkling Wine, now in its fourth edition, written with the precious support of Essi Avellan, also a renowned expert and a member of the jury of The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships.
The team at Ferrari are hugely proud of these achievements, which confirm the role of excellence that Ferrari Trento plays in the world of oenology globally, and we at Enotria&Coe are enormously proud of our long-standing partnership with them in the UK.
